Beginning in March 2025, the Colorado Department of Transportation will start a new project in Woodland Park. The project consists of widening and making mobility and safety improvements to a section of CO 67 in Woodland Park northeast of Colorado Springs. Work includes widening CO 67 from County Road (Evergreen Heights) to Kelley’s Road from two to four lanes with a shared turn lane. Other work sitewide includes:
- Building raised medians near major intersections.
- Installing new pedestrian facilities
- Adding signal heads to Kelley’s Road
- Making drainage and safety improvements
Daytime Traffic Impacts
Monday, April 21 to Friday, April 25 - both directions of CO 67 - new lane alignment
- A new lane alignment is in place within the work zone and caution is advised.
- There are no scheduled lane or shoulder closures during this weekly period as work will be performed behind barrier. However, lane closures may be implemented should they be needed.
- Flaggers will be onsite during working hours to manage traffic flows and maintain safety.
- Uniformed traffic control personnel will also be present at the CO 67 and County Road/Evergreen Heights Drive intersection and at the CO 67 and West Kelley's Road/Stone Ridge Drive intersection, as needed.
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- The project limits on CO 67 extend from Mile Point 76.92 to MP 79.21.
- Speeds are reduced to 35 mph within the work zone until Oct. 31.
- An 11-foot width restriction is in place.
- Signs and construction devices are in place to alert the public to the work zone restrictions.
- Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.

Work includes surveying, clearing and grubbing, installing storm drainage pipe, and performing utility work behind barrier.
