On Friday, March 14, 2025, Teller County District Court Judge William Moller released a ruling on case 24CV30076 for Plaintiffs seeking a preliminary injunction under C.R.C.P. 65 to prevent the City of Woodland Park from enforcing Ordinance No.1469, which became effective on December 12, 2023. Plaintiffs believed the ordinance inappropriately restricts Plaintiffs’ ability to operate short-term rentals (STRs) in the city.
Judge Moller stated, "I find a preliminary injunction is not warranted, and the motion for a preliminary injunction is denied.”
Implementation and enforcement efforts for compliance with Ordinance 1469 will begin immediately. The City will continue working to ensure that short-term rentals are managed responsibly per the terms of the Ordinance.
