Beginning in March 2025, the Colorado Department of Transportation will start a new project in Woodland Park. The project consists of widening and making mobility and safety improvements to a section of CO 67 in Woodland Park northeast of Colorado Springs. Work includes widening CO 67 from County Road (Evergreen Heights) to Kelley’s Road from two to four lanes with a shared turn lane. Other work sitewide includes:
- Building raised medians near major intersections.
- Installing new pedestrian facilities
- Adding signal heads to Kelley’s Road
- Making drainage and safety improvements
Daytime Traffic Impacts
Monday, March 17 to Friday, March 21 - both directions of CO 67 - daytime lane & shoulder closures, with traffic shifts and brief holds
- Motorists can expect single-lane closures in each direction of CO 67 within the project limits, Monday to Friday
- Single lane closures will exist from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by shoulder and acceleration/deceleration lane closures until 6 p.m.
- Flaggers will be present to manage alternating traffic flows during lane closures, with brief holds and traffic shifts expected
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday
- The project limits on CO 67 extend from Mile Point 76.92 to MP 79.21

Work includes performing tree removal and site preparation.
