KWPB Beautification Award Program Summary
The Annual Beautification Award celebrates individuals, businesses, and organizations who contribute to making Woodland Park, CO, a beautiful place to live.
- Nominations will be open to a public opinion survey from November 4, 2025, to December 5, 2025.
- The public opinion survey will allow for public selection and nominations
- The public opinion survey will be held through the City's Website and cross-promoted by Keep Woodland Park Beautiful
The The winner will be selected by a voting process by KWPB committee members during the regularly scheduled December 11, 2025, KWPB committee meeting
One winner will be selected, but the Committee reserves the right to award Honorable Mention awards.
Beautification Award winners will be announced during the City Council meeting on December 18, 2025, and promoted by the KWPB committee through social media.
Beautification Award Criteria
- The winner can be an individual, business, or other organization.
- Although the entity does not have to live in Woodland Park, priority will be given those that do.
- The project must be finished during the year that the entity has been nominated for the award.
- The project must be located within the city of Woodland Park.
- The beautification impact that the project has on the community, which shall be judged based on:
- The degree of improvement will be considered.
- The quantity of community members that the project impacts.
- The frequency at which the project impacts the lives of community members.
- The sustainability of the project.
- The design of the project.
- The context of the project.
- Projects may also be considered based on consistently beautifying our community. For instance, a building may not be new, but has consistently kept its appearance beautiful over a long period of time in order to establish itself as an iconically beautiful place in our community.
- Examples for projects may include, but are not limited to:
- Neat, natural, manicured landscaping
- Bushes and trees cared for
- Concrete with minimal to no vegetative growth in cracks
- Concrete with no differential settlement
- Garbage cans not visible
- Paint in good condition
- Gutters and roof in good condition from street
- Cleanups
- Invasive Plant Removal
