The Colorado Main Street Program offers support for community-led downtown revitalization. We help communities thrive by providing a customizable framework to focus efforts, energy, and resources.

Colorado Main Street is a Main Street America™ Coordinating Program. As a Main Street America™ Coordinating Program, Colorado Main Street helps to lead a powerful, grassroots network of over 40 Coordinating Programs and over 1,200 neighborhoods and communities across the country committed to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development.

What Is a Main Street Program?

  • A Main Street program focuses on revitalizing downtown areas by leveraging local assets, preserving historic character, and fostering a vibrant community. It uses a four-point approach: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality, to guide its revitalization efforts. 

How WIll Individuals Be Selected to Serve on the Woodland Park Main Street Program?

Our volunteer Board of Directors and subcommittees are responsible for carrying out the work to achieve our future mission and vision. The board is responsible for maximizing volunteer involvement in the downtown revitalization effort. Collectively, the board makes decisions about the program’s direction and regularly monitors its progress. Following selection, Colorado Main Street will assist them in completing this work.  

  • The City Council appointed the board from submitted applications, ensuring cross-representation and unity for the community on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting. 

How Will Appointed Members Serve on the Board?

  • The board is responsible for maximizing volunteer involvement in the downtown revitalization effort. Collectively, the board makes decisions about the program’s direction and regularly monitors its progress.
